We’ve just finished the most recent Y Combinator batch, and are hiring a founding engineer to work closely with the co-founders in shaping the product from scratch and scaling it across users. You'll be joining a startup right at the beginning, have a wide range of responsibilities, and have a great opportunity to develop new skills and shape the direction of the product.
The role in a nutshell
We are looking for a full stack engineer to design and build innovative analytics and data tools that help marketers get valuable users. You will present meaningful, clear, and actionable growth insights by combining several sources of campaign and product data. You will build an elegant, intuitive, and reliable product that answers our customers' most important analytics questions.
What you’ll do at Silkchart
- Build and maintain clear and intuitive presentations of data
- Work quickly and flexibly as we iterate towards product-market fit
- Build a clean, reliable, and flexible backend infrastructure to power data insights
- Generate insights from large volumes of data using both AI and traditional data science approaches
- Build and maintain robust integrations
- Develop effective and reliable ways to combine data across multiple sources in order to unlock insights

What we’re looking for
- 2+ yrs experience as a full stack web developer
- Experience as a member of an early stage startup team
- Experience translating business requirements to clean and robust user facing product
- Strong proficiency node.js, react.js
- Proficiency in SQL
- Experience with data visualization (especially d3)
- Previous martech/adtech experience
- Willingness to be flexible and "wear many hats" in an early stage startup environment
- A passion for working with data
